I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. I completed my PhD in philosophy at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in spring 2019. Before that, I also received a BPhil in philosophy from the University of Oxford and a BA with majors in philosophy and mathematics from Indiana University.
My primary research interests lie in epistemology, ethics, and the philosophy of religion. Current interests include the relationship between virtues like humility and our ability to focus or pay attention to tasks at hand; relationships between deep understanding and testimony/trust; the extent to which rationality is "up to us", or to which we can be held responsible for the (ir)rationality of our beliefs; and the philosophy of motherhood. See my publications page, research page and CV for more details.
